The Kamloops NorthPaws lost game two of their series againt the Kelowna Falcons 17-5 on Wednesday night in Kelowna. The Falcons put up a whopping 18 hits in their blowout victory. Kelowna scored five in the first and cruised after that with the NorthPaws unable to make it closer than a four run game the rest of the way. A six run seventh inning sealed the W.

On the mound the NorthPaws gave up 12 walks. When you mix that with the 18 hits and the 14 men left on base for Kelowna it could’ve been worse on the score board for Kamloops.

On the bright side, designated hitter Joey Rico launched his fourth home run of the summer giving him 23 RBI’s on the summer. Youngster Aiden Sawchyn went three and two thirds scoreless on the mound giving up just one hit in the process. The lefty earned himself player of the game honors for Kamloops.

The two teams will do battle in the rubber match on Thursday night at Norbrock Stadium as the NorthPaws try to win all three series against Kelowna. The fist pitch is set for 6:35.
