Kamloops – Baseball fans made their way to Norbrock Stadium on Tuesday night for a friendly exhibition game between the Kamloops NorthPaws and Kamloops Riverdogs. The NorthPaws walked away with a 7-0 win with the help of four RBI’s from right fielder Logan Booth, who launched a three-run home run in the first inning.
Despite being shut out, the Riverdogs had their chances, leaving eight men on base throughout the game. The NorthPaws used nine pitchers, including current General Manager Kolby Lukinchuk, who came on in the eighth and recorded the final three outs.
Even though the team wasn’t nearly at full strength and many of them were meeting each other for the first time prior to first pitch, second-year head coach Riley Jepson was pleased with the result.
“It’s cool to see guys come here and make new relationships and find a way to compete,” Jepson said. “It’s nice for guys to get their feet wet and adjust to new surroundings.”
Fans won’t have to wait long to see the NorthPaws back in action as they host the Corvallis Knights this weekend to open the 2026 West Coast League season.
