Victoria – The NorthPaws lost big in game two against the HarbourCats by a score of 14-4. Victoria went to work at the plate, racking up 18 hits. On the flip side, Kamloops had just three hits. Camden Sanders and Tanner Mitchell had the RBI’s for the NorthPaws.
Victoria got off to a great start with three runs in the bottom of the first. Sanders ‘ RBI double in the third got the NorthPaws on the board. The wheels fell off in the fourth inning, though, as the HarbourCats scored four runs, including a bases-clearing double.
In the middle third of the game, Victoria scored eight runs, putting the game out of reach. Three more runs in the bottom of the eighth put the exclamation point on an already impressive night at the plate.
The NorthPaws will wipe the slate clean and try to take the series on Sunday afternoon at 1:05. The team returns home on Tuesday to begin their final homestand of the season. The Edmonton RiverHawks and Wenatchee Applesox come to town with plenty of events on the horizon.
