Kamloops – The NorthPaws will have two representatives in Victoria next week for the 2026 WCL All-Star Game. Kade Crawford (OF) and Evan Dugdale (OF/RHP) are heading to the island to showcase their talents.
“I’m super pumped for those guys,” NorthPaws head coach Riley Jepson said. “They have a lot to be proud of; they both play huge roles on the team,”
Crawford and Dugdale have been a stellar one-two punch at the top of the batting order all summer. Crawford currently leads the West Coast League in Home Runs with eight and stolen bases with 20. Through 30 games, the Centerfielder is hitting .330.
“I was really excited when I saw the announcement,” Crawford said. “To be able to go to Victoria for an All-Star game is a really cool opportunity.”
For Dugdale, it’s been an impressive summer both at the plate and on the mound. This spring Dugdale got limited work on the mound but has really found it in Kamloops. He is 4-0 in six starts and holds a 2.10 ERA in 30 innings. At the plate, Dugdale is hitting an even .300 in 29 games. He is second on the team with 24 RBI’s and three home runs.
“I was pretty proud to have the two-way designation; I’ve worked hard to develop my game this summer,” Dugdale said.
Along with their talent on the field, Jepson has been pleased with their attitudes and how they’ve contributed to the culture on the NorthPaws,
“They’re both great kids; they never complain or get upset when things go wrong, and they’ve both worked their tails off this summer.”
The festivities will begin on July 14th with the Home Run Derby. Former Toronto Blue Jays Center Fielder Kevin Pillar will headline the event. The participants will be announced soon.
The All-Star Game will begin next Wednesday, July 15th, at 6:35. You can catch all the action from Wilson’s Group Stadium at Royal Athletic Park on MLB.com, MLB.tv, and in the MLB app.
