The Port Angeles Lefties equalized the weekend series with a 3-2 victory over the Kamloops NorthPaws on Dearborn Ford Field at Norbrock Stadium Saturday night.

Port Angeles opened the scoring in the top of the 3rd inning. Mason Persons hit a solo shot over the left field fence to open the scoring for the Lefties.

The NorthPaws found the equalizer in the bottom of the 5th inning. Hunter Swapp scored on a wild pitch to tie the game 1-1.

The NorthPaws score the go-ahead run in the bottom of the 8th inning. Jackson Forbes battled back from an 0-2 count to draw a lead-off walk. Félix Chénier-Rondeau hit a single to right field to score Forbes from second and take a 2-1 lead into the final frame.

The Lefties answered in the top of the 9th inning. Kemet Brown hit a single to right field to cash both runners and give the visitors a 3-2 lead in the bottom half of the final inning.

The NorthPaws looked for another walk off victory in the bottom of the 9th. Dylan Zavala and Tommy Green were both hit by pitches to open the inning, putting two runners on base with no out. Forbes flied out to left field for the first out of the inning. Robin Villeneuve hit into a well-executed double play to end the game and give the Lefties the win on Saturday night.

Colby Ring delivered another quality start for the NorthPaws. He only allowed one run on four hits in five innings of work. Shay Timmer held the Lefties scoreless in three innings of relief. Vic Domingo took over for the 9th inning and allowed the first runs of his season to take the loss Saturday night.

Lefties lefty Liam Paddack recorded the final six outs to pick up the win in relief.

Game 3 goes Sunday afternoon at 1:05pm on Dearborn Ford Field at Norbrock Stadium. The Darby Mills Project will play the Post-Game Patio Party once the final out is recorded on Sunday.
