Kelowna – More Déjà Vu for the Kamloops NorthPaws as they drop another rubber match in Kelowna. The NorthPaws have lost four of the first six games so far after the 19-7 defeat on Thursday night.
The Falcons scored in seven of eight innings at the plate, handing the NorthPaws their ugliest loss of the season. The Paws scored three in the first inning but simply couldn’t keep up as errors plagued them again.
“The errors early on killed the momentum tonight,” Kade Crawford said.
The Falcons racked up 15 hits and saw their highest offensive output of the season.
“They’re a great contact-hitting team,” Pitching coach Dustin Beggs said. “It felt like tonight, no matter what we threw at them, it was being put in play.”
The NorthPaws finished the first half with an 11-16 record and begin the second half on the road against the Port Angeles Lefties for a three-game weekend series. The team is back at home next Wednesday, July 8th against the Kelowna Falcons.
