The third game of the series between the Nanaimo NightOwls and Kamloops NorthPaws in Nanaimo ended early on June 22nd due to a medical emergency in the stands. At the time, the game was suspended to be continued at a further date.
The game will resume on Saturday, July 23 on Dearborn Ford Field at Norbrock Stadium at 2:30pm.
No ticket will be required to attend the rescheduled game, but fans are asked to bring a cash donation to the ballpark that will benefit the Kamloops Minor Baseball Association and the BC SPCA Kamloops & District Branch.
The game will continue from where it was paused – NorthPaws designated hitter Dylan Zavala had an 1-0 count with one out in the top of the 3rd inning with Nanaimo leading 5-0. With the unconventional circumstances, the NorthPaws will play as the visiting team on home turf.
The regularly scheduled game between the NorthPaws and NightOwls will proceed as originally scheduled at 6:35pm Saturday evening. Bachman-Turner Overdrive cover band BCO will take to the NorthPaws Patio Stage between games on Saturday.
