Kamloops NorthPaws slugger Zack Beatty was named an honourable mention for the 2022 NJCAA Division I Baseball All-America teams.

Beatty, who posted a record-setting season for McCook Community College, was named as the designated hitter on the honourable mentions lineup – though he played much of the season at first base.

He set a program record with 24 home runs along with a .364 average with 80 RBIs on the season.

Beatty has split time in left field, first base and as the designated hitter so far in the NorthPaws inaugural season.

The product of Maple Park, Ill. is second in the West Coast League with four home runs and fifth in the league with 11 RBIs through the early stages of the season.

He has committed to Kansas Wesleyan University (NAIA) for the fall to continue his pursuits of a degree in sports management.
